‘Special Educational Needs’ (SEN) is a blanket term used to describe the learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for a child to access the curriculum compared to similar aged children.
It is likely that such a child will need extra help and support. Initially this support is provided by the child’s school, overseen by the Special Needs Coordinator.
The type of help may have to be intensified and may involve a number of different types of support drawn from Education, Health and Social Services.
Neuro Physiological Therapy can help with a wide variety of difficulties and problems. The key is to see if NMI is a contributory factor. However it is not the answer to every child’s problems, nor is it the answer to every problem a child may have, but for many it can make a life changing difference.
