Physical and sensory needs cover a wide range of medical conditions.
Neuro Motor Therapy cannot repair brain or nerve damage. However, providing the child can comfortably do the exercises and there is medical agreement that the exercises will do no harm, it can sometimes bring benefit, providing the child is assessed as having NDD.
At Open Doors Therapy we can talk about the young girl with Down’s Syndrome, who as a result of the therapy was able to use her scooter, ride a bike, swim so much better and she began to enjoy dancing.
At Open Doors Therapy we can talk about the Hydrocephalus Y3 boy, who before the therapy had barely legible handwriting, could not stand still and could not even sit on the kitchen stool. After the therapy, his balance and posture improved dramatically and whilst his handwriting was not the neatest, he could write both legibly and quickly.
