Rebecca - Y4

Rebecca entered Y3 with a 1a level in reading, 1b in writing and a 2c in maths. She had been given a diagnosis of dyslexia and dyspraxia. The school followed the appropriate advice and gave Rebecca a lot of individual support. However by the end of Y4, she had made little apparent progress, so the family approached me. Even with support and specialist learning programmes the door to progress can be partially closed.

After assessing her, I put her on an INPP programme. She still has dyslexia and dyspraxia, however her NMI aspects were reduced considerably, resulting in her getting 2a in reading, 1a in writing and 2a in maths by the end of Y4. She eventually got level 4’s at the end of the key stage. The door to success was more widely opened.
