Kieran - Y6
It was Easter in Y6 that I came across Kieran. He had been suspended a number of times for angrily hitting out at other children. The school suggested that I may be able to help. I assessed him and put him on an INPP programme. The first priority was to reduce his Moro (baby’s fear) reflex. By the end of the summer he was not aggressive, happier within himself and his sleeping patterns had changed. Before he hardly had any sleep and his bedclothes were invariably tangled up.
Potentially the door to education would have been closed to this angry and aggressive boy. After therapy, the anger and aggression reduced and he has since completed three years of secondary education with no major breach of discipline. A door opened!
