Mother of 11 year old boy, 4 years behind at school and five weeks into the therapy

Hope you are well and have got back to normality following the christmas period - seems a long time ago now! Sorry to bother you but I just wanted to ask you a question in regard to Tim's progress.

I have been doing the exercise everyday since 21st December although we have not yet incorporated the legs into it but after discussing it with Tim we have decided to start this next week. My question is in regard to the speed this exercise works as we have seen quite a lot of change in Tim over the last few weeks, some negative and more recently positive.

The change, which has amazed me, is his reading ability. Normally when he reads his school book it takes him a lot of effort, a lot of concentration, he spells each letter out (even common words) and is very slow. However, last night he read his book without seeming to put in so much effort, he held the book up instead of leaning over it and he read really fluidly. In addition to this, since last week he has been putting his hand up in class and answering questions (when I asked him why, he said he has stopped day dreaming as much!), and he has received a certificate in assembly for his recent improvement in writing.

Anyway, I dont know how much of this change is due to the exercise so I wondered what the normal timescale is for seeing change. I know there is still a long way to go but this is the biggest change over such a short time I have seen in Tim  so whatever the reason I just hope it continues!
