Support For Schools

From my research and experience I would expect about 75% of under performing children in your school have Neuro-Developmental Delay.

This can be treated by a 12 month, programme of neuro-physiological exercises, for 15 minutes every day. Of those children doing the programme I would anticipate that well over 60% would make a year or mores progress in a core subject.

Below is a brief guide but schools may negotiate their own programme and costs accordingly. For further details please contact me.  I so believe in the exercise programme that I will refund 75% of the fee if after three months the school can see no benefit to the participating children.

The group exercise programme – a day’s training followed by support

I would suggest that three staff could deliver a daily 15 minute exercise programme for 12 months. From my own experience and that of other schools I have worked with it makes a difference. The key is to select the right children and ensure that the daily exercise becomes a priority.

  • Training day for 3 to 30 staff.

  • Staff will understand the principles of Neuro Physiological Therapy, will have insights into how NDD effects children and be given the 12 month group exercise pack.

  • Support for three staff to assess 15 children and deliver the exercise programme (1day assessing and 6 support visits)

 Cost £600  (Open the Door to learning for £40 per child!)

Individual exercise programme

There are many SEN children being supported daily, on specialist programmes who are making very little progress academically. Neurophysiological therapy is an answer for some of these. It opens a door and enables them to make better use of what the school is doing. Remember if after three months if you are not convinced I will refund 75% of the costs!

Costing is based on:

  • my working with four children;

  • a learning support assistant individually supporting the children 15 minutes daily for 12 months;

  • parents doing the exercises with the child on none school days (if parents are not willing or able then the programme will take 15 months rather than 12).

You will receive:

  • a day where I will brief staff (and parents) and assess the 4 children;

  • LSA training to deliver the exercise;

  • a written report on each child;

  • a half day visit in the first fortnight to check progress and go through the written reports with parents and key staff;

  • A visit ever 8th week to reassess the children and adjust the exercise programme;

  • Telephone support

  • Attendance at review meetings

  • Final assessment and report

Cost £ 720 (Open a Door for an SEN children  for £180 or less per child)

The group exercise programme – a day’s training
  • Training day for 3 to 30 staff.

  • Staff will understand the principles of Nuero Physiological Therapy, will have insights into how NDD effects children and be given the 12 month group exercise pack.

Cost £400

By combining a group and individual programme, or involving more children in a programme cost per child can be reduced.
